Warsaw During World War II Tour

This tour focuses on a short but incredibly intense chapter in Warsaw’s history—World War II. Few cities in Europe experienced the devastation of war as deeply as Warsaw. Despite the unimaginable hardship, the people of this city showed remarkable resilience, doing their best to survive daily life under German occupation. Throughout it all, the Polish resistance remained active and determined.

We’ll explore what everyday life was like for ordinary Varsovians during the war. When and why was the city destroyed so thoroughly? We’ll also discuss the experiences of Warsaw’s Jewish community and the horrors they endured in the ghetto, as well as the tragic heroism of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising.

As we walk through the city, we’ll search for traces of wartime Warsaw—some hidden in plain sight, others barely visible. Many places that once bore witness to these events were destroyed and never rebuilt, but their stories live on.

This tour is a powerful journey through a time of suffering, courage, and survival—an essential experience for anyone seeking to understand Warsaw’s wartime past and the spirit of its people.
